A spare bedroom in a Victorian house

The brief was to redecorate this spare room which had been a Childs room and was decorated in pink with a pink carpet. The decoration was tired and dark.

The clients were open to suggestions and were happy with the idea of a contemporary scheme with classical elements.

The room was re-wired & new lighting including a central chandelier and wall lights were installed. A duck egg blue wallpaper from Romo was applied to three of the walls teamed up with a rich chocolate brown suede effect feature wall behind the bed. A new wool carpet was fitted in textured oatmeal. Coordinating full length lined curtains & roman blind dressed the beautiful sash window. The bed was accessorised with cushions and throws in luxurious fabrics to provide comfort and textural interest.

The result was a elegant, warm sophisticated room with good atmosphere.
